About Peaceful Journey
Owner Dr. Jenny Muckey
Dr. Jenny Muckey graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She served clientele in rural Dakotas and Montana for 10 years, before settling into the Gallatin Valley with her husband Jon. Building personal relationships through the years of practice gave her an immense appreciation for the intimate bonds built around shared end-of-life experiences. Dr. Muckey has become an intentional animal advocate for quality of life, eliminating pain, and guiding owners through end-of-life transitions. Years of working along-side producers who made wise and timely welfare choices for their animals has grown her observational skills for recognizing pain, disorientation, and environmental disconnection of domestic animals. Following the compassionate example of previous owner Dr. Chris O'Rourke, Dr. Muckey has the privilege to carry on the service of Peaceful Journey and looks forward to supporting owners facing difficult choices for their beloved pet companions. In addition to supporting pet owners, Dr. Muckey desires to extend emotional support to the veterinary personnel in the area, who serve in a demanding industry.
Dr. Muckey is a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice & Palliative Care, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Montana Veterinary Medical Association, and is certified by the American Institute of Medical Laser Applications for large and small animals.
